David and Terri’s wedding was held on a beautiful September day in Mid Wales and planned by Katrina at sparklecoverevents.co.uk. I arrived at the farmhouse to find the kitchen a hive of activity with the beautiful bride and her five bridesmaids in the midst of a team of hairdressers and with Elaine of elainesbeautyspot.co.uk providing the make up expertise. As you would imagine the atmosphere was great - busy but happy and with excitement in the air.
When I first met Terri to agree the photography plan for her big day she asked if I could photograph her with her horses, she was a groom at a large estate in the area and wanted the horses to be part of her big day in some way. I was expecting 1 or 2 horses but out trotted eight, yes 8, plus 2 dogs.
The ceremony was taken by the charismatic Father Michael who had the congregation laughing throughout. Then it was off to the Elan Valley for a quick photo walk followed by speeches from three Best Men and dancing into the small hours.
It was a really lovely wedding with everyone looking happy and I enjoyed my work that day - even with all the four legged friends to consider.
